Sleepwear Print, Trim and Comfort Review
Make sleepwear appearance and comfort feedback specific enough to revise artwork, construction and materials.
01
Locate the print and its reference
Record the artwork file, revision, physical dimensions and distance from an identified garment point. State whether placement should stay fixed or change across sizes. A print that looks centered on a flat mockup may sit differently on a worn garment. Use the actual sample size and an annotated photograph when describing that difference.
02
Review garment contact points
Identify the neck, cuffs, waistband, side seams, fastenings and label locations. Record what the reviewer observes: a raised seam, an attachment near a contact point, or a waistband that differs from the reference. These observations are not universal comfort limits. Name the wearer or test context and keep subjective feedback separate from measured dimensions or agreed test results.
03
Separate appearance from durability
A clear print at sample receipt does not establish its appearance after the specified care procedure. Ask which evaluation is required for the material, print and trim combination, including any laundering or rubbing assessment. Agree the protocol and acceptance criteria before interpreting results. Keep care wording aligned with supporting evidence rather than selecting instructions solely to preserve the appearance of one sample.
04
Issue a focused correction package
Assign a comment ID, photo reference and requested action to every change. If the print size changes, check neighboring seams and the available area across the size range. If a trim changes, update the material list. The worksheet example shows how to separate three review areas; add your own result, contact, due date and recheck approval instead of leaving the request as improve comfort.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Approving a print based only on screen color.
- Using softer as the entire correction instruction.
- Confusing an appearance approval with durability testing.
Technical and regulatory references
Check the scope for your product and destination. These references do not establish certification, approval or test results for a DALI product or factory.
- FTC Care Labeling Rule

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chest print | Artwork P02 / photo 01 | Position differs from drawing | Confirm dimensions and placement | Revised sample / annotated image |
| Waistband | Trim E02 / sample M | Different handfeel from reference | Compare alternative reference | Named wearer review |

Frequently asked
Buyer questions
01Can comfort be described without a numerical limit?
Yes. Identify the area, sample and observation, then agree how the revised sample will be compared.
02Should the same artwork dimensions apply to every size?
Decide that explicitly. Record fixed or size-specific placement and check the relevant size samples.
From preparation to development
Discuss the questions that remain open.
Use the guide to organize the information you have, then discuss your product and estimated bulk requirement with DALI. A complete worksheet or technical pack is not required for the first conversation.
