Bulk material supply

Materials for your production program

Elastic bands, branded waistbands, bra straps, ribbons and lace trims for underwear and garment production. Material or trim supply can be discussed independently of finished garments, or coordinated with an apparel order. Prepare the construction, color, quantity and intended use so the relevant team can review the proposed bulk requirement.

For garment elastic tape and waistbands, define the attachment method, width, stretch and recovery requirements. Supply artwork for a branded waistband and identify rolls or cut lengths. This brief concerns textile components for garment production, rather than general-purpose rubber bands or finished branded garments.

  • Elastic Waistbands: Width and relaxed/extended measurements; Exposed or enclosed attachment; Color, edge feel and recovery criteria.
  • Branded Elastic Waistbands: Authorized artwork and repeat length; Width, colors and garment placement; Logo appearance relaxed and extended.
  • Bra Shoulder Straps: Width, length and edge finish; Adjuster, ring and attachment requirements; Stretch/recovery and component review.
  • Plain Ribbons & Tapes: Elastic or non-elastic construction; Width, composition and edge finish; Roll/cut-length delivery and garment use.
  • Lace Trims: Pattern reference and repeat; Width, edge shape and stretch direction; Trim placement and attachment sample.

Development with DALI

The trim in its intended garment position

DALI's elastic capabilities support review of width, construction, edge feel, color and authorized artwork. Attachment, cut length and relaxed or extended measurements matter alongside appearance. The garment drawing or component sample connects these requirements to the proposed trim.

01

Define the band, ribbon or strap precisely

DALI's elastic and trim product line includes elastic bands and branded waistband developments. The range also includes plain ribbons, underwear lace trims and bra shoulder straps. Specify stretch requirements, garment position, width, edge finish and material for each component. A narrow bra strap and an exposed underwear waistband need different references and attachment discussions. An existing trim sample or drawing provides the reference for component development.

  • Separate elastic bands from non-elastic ribbons.
  • Identify width, construction and face/back requirements.
  • Describe the attachment and intended garment position.
02

Review artwork and extension together

For branded products, send artwork you have permission to use, a logo repeat and a controlled color reference. Discuss how the design can be formed on the proposed tape rather than assuming a printed appearance or a particular woven method from a photograph. Review width, edge feel, extension and recovery, with artwork checked in relaxed and extended conditions where relevant. Repeats at a waistband join and differences in cut length between garment sizes can affect the visible logo. Keep branding approval, trim evaluation and garment-fit approval as separate decisions.

  • Use authorized artwork and identify repeat length.
  • Agree relaxed and extended measurement methods.
  • Review joins and cut lengths on the intended garment sample.
03

Connect trim quantities to garment production

Order quantities may be expressed as meters, rolls or prepared cut lengths; agree the unit and delivery format before quoting. Show quantities per width, color and design. Identify whether the trim will be supplied to another factory or attached within a DALI garment program, and agree roll labels, lot identification and packing. Minimum quantities, development costs and timing depend on the proposed material, design and order structure. Sampling supports bulk trim projects, with construction and performance requirements evaluated against the agreed component reference.

  • List quantity per width, color and artwork.
  • Agree roll or cut-length supply and identification.
  • Confirm hardware, attachments and buyer documentation where relevant.

Specify trim dimensions and garment attachment together

Distinguish elastic waistbands and bra straps from non-elastic ribbons or decorative lace. Width alone does not define construction, edge feel or recovery. Connect the trim with its garment position, attachment and authorized branded artwork.

  • Trim type, width, composition and elastic or non-elastic construction
  • Quantity in meters, rolls or cut lengths, with units defined
  • Relaxed and extended measurement conditions and edge finish
  • Authorized logo repeat, color reference and attachment sample

Product and supplier review

Review trims as part of the finished product

DALI develops woven and knitted elastic components with the garment position in mind. Width, relaxed and extended dimensions, artwork repeat and attachment are reviewed together. The selected trim reference and any required material records stay connected to the garment or component order.

Frequently asked

Buyer questions

01Can I source elastic bands or trims as separate products?

Yes. Describe the band, ribbon, lace trim or strap, its garment use, width, quantity and delivery format. The team confirms material feasibility, minimum quantities, sample requirements and terms for the proposed bulk order.

02Can DALI discuss my own branded waistband?

Yes. Supply authorized artwork, logo repeat, colors, width and garment placement. The construction and branding method are reviewed before sample approval; an existing brand reference is not permission to reproduce its logo.

03Are all ribbons and trims elastic?

No. State whether extension is required and distinguish an elastic band from a non-elastic ribbon, lace trim or strap. Agree the construction, edge finish and attachment for the actual garment.

04What quantity unit should an elastic inquiry use?

State meters, rolls or prepared cut lengths as appropriate and agree the measurement basis. Break down quantities by width, color and design, with roll labels, packing and any component requirements specified separately.
