Sleepwear Gift Boxes and Hanger Packs

Compare gift boxes, folded packs and hanger packs using actual garment dimensions, selling-unit contents and retail requirements.

01

Start with the retail situation

Record whether the product is sold hanging, stacked, displayed as a gift or shipped through an online channel. Describe the selling unit: one robe, a coordinated set or several garments. A presentation format should support that situation rather than being selected only because a photograph looks premium. Confirm any retailer fixture or hanging requirements before developing the pack.

02

Compare the work each format requires

A gift box needs a folding arrangement, internal dimensions, insertion method and any insert. A hanger pack needs a hanger reference, garment support and tag positioning. A folded pack needs a way to hold the garment and expose the correct product information. None of these formats is inherently the lowest-cost or most sustainable choice; compare the actual materials, assembly and shipping arrangement.

03

Develop dimensions from the sample

Fold the intended sample using the proposed method, then record its occupied length, width and height. Repeat with relevant size extremes if the range changes the pack fit. Identify which side of the garment faces the buyer and where labels remain visible. Treat a digital dieline as a proposal until the product fits a physical mockup without distortion.

04

Approve the pack as an order component

Keep the pack artwork revision, item identifier, garment contents and outer-carton instruction linked. The example below sets out the packaging decisions to confirm. Ask for availability and scope confirmation before accepting a retail-pack plan. Test the mockup against the buyer's handling requirements and record changes before authorizing pack-material production.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Using box exterior dimensions as the available interior space.
  • Approving only the artwork without a garment inside the pack.
  • Calling a material environmentally preferable without supporting evidence.

Frequently asked

Buyer questions

01Can one pack fit the whole size range?

Check it with the relevant folded samples. A shared format may work, but dimensions and garment presentation must be verified.

02Are the formats listed guaranteed options?

No. They are planning alternatives. Confirm project-specific feasibility, materials, quantity and costs with the team.
